PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING PRODUCT
• Bovi-Bond is most easily used between 65° and 85° F (18° to 29° C). Temperature will affect the set time.
See Cold & Hot Conditions below.
• Areas of wetness, bleeding or infection should not be covered. Once healed, commence using Bovi-Bond.
COLD CONDITIONS (Below 65° F)
• Do not microwave the cartridge or place it in water.
• Heat the block with a heat gun for 10 seconds.
• Keep cartridges and blocks warm. Tip: Keep both in an
insulated "cooler" with microwaveable heat pads or
1 to 2 tightly capped gallon jugs filled with hot water. The material will dispense easily and set normally.
• Keep the hoof off the ground one extra minute.
HOT CONDITIONS (Above 85° F)
• Product will set very quickly. To slow the set time, if needed store the material in an insulated cooler with 1 or 2
freezer packs.
• NOTE: During hot weather conditions, product may cure at a higher temperature. If applying close to sensitive
tissue, product may be applied in layers to reduce heat.
CARTRIDGE PREPARATION
1. To open, remove the tip of the cartridge at designated
groove with nippers or knife. Ensure a clean straight
cut along groove.
2. Slide the red oval finger ring over top of cartridge and
seat at cartridge base.
3. Use the red plunger to squeeze out a small amount
of material to ensure both sides are dispensing evenly.
4. Use only Vettec mixing tips. Attach mixing tip by pressing and twisting clockwise.
5. For additional applications, remove old tip, re-equalize
the cartridge, and attach another mix tip.
IMPORTANT: To open cartridge, cut off tip at line with
sharp nippers or knife. The cut should be even and
clean to insure proper flow of material and to avoid leakage
between the tip and cartridge.

HOOF PREPARATION
1. Trim, rasp, or grind to balance claw, as level as possible.
2. DRY thoroughly with a heat gun or hair dryer.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Rapidly dispense Bovi-Bond directly onto the block in a strip about 3/4 to 1 inch wide.
2. Immediately rest the block gently onto the clean, dry claw and hold for 20 seconds. Don't express all
the glue.
Leave an 1/8 inch 2-3 mm thickness of material between the block and the claw. Optional: Apply heat for 10
to 15 seconds.
3. Material should be hard set in 30 seconds and weight bearing cured in approximately 2-3 minutes.
